A push-mower on a half-hectare section is a full day's work for a mediocre result. A ride-on does it in a fraction of the time, leaves cleaner lines, and handles terrain that would kill a push-mower.
I bring the ride-on to every mowing job. If there are tight spots — around garden beds, up against fences, steep banks — I switch to the push-mower for those areas. You get the whole property done, not just the easy bits.
